Willie Mae R. Dufrene, 95, a native of Larose, La. and resident of Raceland, La. passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 with her loving family near her side.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at St. Hilary Catholic Church from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am with burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Willie Mae is survived by her daughters; Darlene Powell, and Janis (Terry) Giroir, grandchildren; Kelly (Don) Matherne, Eric (Connie) Powell, Jenifer (Wesley) Monson, Lauren Dufrene, Derek Dufrene, step-grandchildren; Paula Comeaux, Lacey Giroir, great-grandchildren; Hayley (Charles) Folse, Blaine (Lauren) Matherne, Janie (Jacob) Pierce, Austin Matherne, Triston Powell, Savannah Powell, Gage (Brittany) Gautreaux, Madison Baudoin, Cullen Adams, Gavin Bader, Randy Dufrene, Kelsie Arcement, Brenna Arcement (Toby Torres), and Lyla Theriot, step-greatgrandchildren; Heather (Dean) Chiasson, Sadie Henn, great-great-grandchildren; Carter, Colton, Carson, Gracie, Weston, Marlee, Oliver, Gillian, Sophia, Adeline, Hazel Grace, Jaxon, step- great-great-grandchildren; Laine, Holden, Reid, Lawson, sister; Elaine Cullen, brother-in-law; Gerald Zerangue.
Willie Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years; Calvin J. Dufrene, son; Randy Dufrene, grandchildren; Gillian Dufrene and Rickey Bader, Jr., parents; Cleveland and Vernice Arabie Rodriquez, sister; Amerie Zerangue, godchild; Kimberly Toms, and son-in-law; J.W. Powell, in-laws; Elier and Leontine Champagne Dufrene.
