William "Bill" Henderson Young, Jr.

William “Bill” Young, Jr., 81 a native of New Orleans, La. and resident of Raceland, La. went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 14, 2026.

Visitation will be at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, La. date and times are pending.

“Bill” is survived by his wife of 61 years; May Catherine Foret Young, daughter; Michelle Young Pellegrin, grandchildren; Dylan Hooey and Amanda Dufrene (Tray Caramonta), great-grandchildren; Jayden, Jase, Lillian, Trenton and R.J., sisters; Barbara Young, Nancy McCarthy and Pamela Gauthier.

“Bill” was preceded in death by his parents; William, Sr. and Elizabeth Bertucci Young, and sister; Diane Picou.

“Bill” worked at Avondale Shipyard for many years as a welder, He enjoyed watching western movies, he loved to work on cars.

“Bill” proudly served in the United States Navy Reserve.
