Wilbert "Johnnie" Rousselle, Jr.

Wilbert “Johnnie” Rousselle, Jr., 70, native and resident of Luling, LA, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

Visitation will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Luling, LA on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 10:30 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling, LA.

Johnnie is survived by his daughter, Jonnielyn Rousselle; grandchildren, Samantha Frickey, Ryan Frickey and Evan Laiche; great-grandchildren, Kyler, Kamden and Kamron Frickey and Finley Krawczyk; brother, Merrick “Ricky” Rousselle; sister, Michele Rousselle.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert “Pompey” Rousselle Sr. and Dorothy Guidry Rousselle.

Johnnie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He cherished time spent with his family and friends, finding his greatest joy in simple moments shared with those closest to him. Johnnie loved gathering for crawfish boils, enjoying a cold drink, and spending summer nights in Destin, where laughter and good memories were always made. He also enjoyed fishing, finding peace on the water and on the road. He will be greatly missed by so many, but his impact on others will last a lifetime.
