Whitney Joseph Orgeron

Whitney Joseph Orgeron, age 89, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 2:45 p.m. He was a native and resident of Cut Off, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the graveside service at Cheramie Cemetery on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.

Whitney is survived by his wife of 59 years, Thelma Barrios Orgeron; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Whitney was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvest Orgeron and Mathilde Danos Orgeron; stepmother, Alcida Orgeron; brothers, Anthony and Raymond “Blue” Orgeron; sisters, Mabel O. Savoie, Jane O. Savoie, and Eucharist Orgeron.

Whitney was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. He graduated from USL. He was a heavy equipment operator for KEC Company. He enjoyed betting on race horses.
