Wayne Joseph Bourgeois Sr.

Wayne Joseph Bourgeois, Sr., born October 22, 1950, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the age of 74.

He is survived by his spouse, Patricia “Pat” Ranes Bourgeois; daughter, Stacey Bourgeois LeBlanc (Scott); son, Wayne Joseph Bourgeois, Jr. (Helana Allemand Bourgeois); grandchildren, Luke, Shea, and Baryn Bourgeois, Charli Aucoin (Brenen Melancon), Colby LeBlanc (Kiera), Marlee Hillebrand (Zack) and Chloe LeBlanc; great-grandchildren, Avery Melancon, Graham LeBlanc and Natalie Hillebrand; step-children, Therisa Music, Paul Ranes and Nicklas Lyons; four step-grandchildren; brother, Gary Bourgeois (Betty); sisters, Brenda Bourgeois Folse (Reed), Betty Jane Bourgeois Dufrene and Janice Bourgeois Guidry; brother-in-law, Daniel Ranes (Vickie); sisters-in-law, Ella Ranes and Arlene Bourg.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis “Harris” Bourgeois and Shirley Rita Dempster; brothers-in-law, Calvin Dufrene, Jerry Guidry and Samuel Ranes.

Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards.
