Vy Van Tran, 86, a native of Vietnam and resident of Larose, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
Vy is survived by his wife, Mat Nguyen; his children, Tuong Tran (Khanh Nguyen), Son Tran (Hong Vo), Hong Nguyen (Joey Nguyen), Dung Tran (Thuy Bui), and Hai Tran; his grandchildren, Kennedy Tran, Jennifer Tran, Adam Tran, Matthew Tran, Maria Tran, Emily Nguyen, Aspen Nguyen, Lauren Tran, and Connor Tran; and his siblings, Vinh Tran, Lan Tran, Ngot Tran, and La Tran.
Vy was preceded in his passing by his granddaughters, Crystal and Krystal Tran; and his parents Vy and Niem Tran.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitations and prayer services on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Falgout Funeral Home in Cut Off, LA.
Visitation and prayers will continue on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Larose, LA, and again on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.
A graveside service will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose, LA.
