Virginia C. "Feyou" Cheramie, 88, a native and resident of Galliano, born November 7, 1925 died January 26, 2014.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her sister, Eula Small; her three daughters, Diana Williams, Lou Ann Gaspard and husband L.J. and Hazel Gaspard and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Henry, Jr., Stacy, Jenny, Eddie, Cliff, Troy, Kim, Carrie, Lee, Angela, Aaron; 22 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Cheramie, Sr. and Alphonsine Toups Cheramie; brothers Walter Cheramie, Jr. and Florenz "Broad" Cheramie; husband, Cliff Cheramie; daughter, Helen Cheramie Dugas; granddaughter, Mary Dugas.
Falgout Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
