Vidalia Legendre

Vidalia Legendre, 88, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Raceland, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in the presence of her loving family.

She is survived by her sons, Louis Legendre (Diane), Carroll Legendre Jr (Brittney), and David Legendre (Pam); son-in-law, John Borne (Liz); and stepson, Artie Dufrene (Debra); as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death first by her husband of 42 years, Carroll Legendre, and then by her loving companion, Arthur Dufrene; her daughter, Debra Legendre; daughter-in-law, Marie Legendre, and her parents.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Hope Hospice and their dedicated staff, especially Jody and Alice.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, on Saturday September 12, 2026, from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
