Velma Robichaux Mayet, 89 a native and longtime resident of Raceland, LA and a resident of Reno, NV, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 12:15 AM.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Jackson and husband Bob of Reno, NV; grandsons, Shane Jackson and wife Lisa of Los Gatos, CA, Christopher Jackson and wife Stephanie of Citrus Heights, CA; and four great grandchildren, Kai, Caden, Kinzy, Ryder Jackson and brother, Milton "T-Mit" Robichaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lory Mayet of Lockport; parents, Merille "Nick" and Cerita Babin Robichaux; brothers, Herman, Huey, Irvin Robichaux and sister, Verna Madere.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 349 and Freddie John Falgout Auxiliary.
Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
