Velma C. Ford, 80, a resident of Raceland, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 7th from 9 am until service time. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 am with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery.
Velma is survived by her husband of 62 years, Moise Ford Jr.; sons, Wayne Ford (Kitty) and Corey Ford (Valerie); grandchildren, Tyler Ford (Angelle), Tate, Blake and Kayla Ford; great-grandchildren, Stella and Lillian Ford; sisters, Alice Boudreaux and Elizabeth Bourgeois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Easman and Marie Chiasson and brothers, Leroy, Freddie and Jessie Chiasson.
Velma enjoyed cooking and gardening.
