Ted P. Orgeron

Ted “Chop: Orgeron, 66, a native of Coteau La Sip and a resident of Gheens, LA, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, September 11, 2026 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Gheens, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Hosea (Phillip), niece that he raised like a daughter, Tiffany Dufrene; grandchildren, Sailor Dufrene and Braxton Theriot; sister, Lori Stervig (Rodney) and brother-in-law, Darryl Dempster.

He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Penny Orgeron; parents, Jerry and Beverly Orgeron; grandchildren, Carter, Jackson and Colin Hosea; brother, Tom Orgeron and sister, Linda Orgeron Dempster.

Ted was an avid hunter. He enjoyed riding, fixing and building motorcycles. He loved spending any chance he could with Sailor.
