Sullivan Charles Lirette, Jr., 78, a native and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA and from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, March 28, 2025 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Raceland, LA
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara F. Lirette; daughters, Mary L. Ratcliff, Jessica L. Guillot (Butch), Barbara Gayle L. McComas (Danny), Sulina L. Hebert and Madeleine L. Dupre (David); grandchildren, Micheala, Adrian, Sonia, Danni, Samantha, Heidi, Brady, Jarrett, Kade, Drake, Brayden, Madeleine, Sierra and Amber; great grandchildren, Ella Mae, Breighlynn, Aniyah, Nylah, Eden, Reagan and Avalee; brother, Brent Landry and sisters, Brenda Fanguy and Debra Naquin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sullivan Lirette, Sr. and Agnes Richard Lirette Landry; step father, Norman Landry; sister, Mary Juanita Lirette and grandson, Lee Rhette McComas.
Sullivan was a machinist foreman at SMATCO; a US Postal rural mail carrier in Gray for 17 years and a member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
