Stuart James Loupe, 70, a native of Kramer and resident of Lockport, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026 while surrounded by his loving family.
Stuart is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Debbie Loupe; his children, Jason Loupe (Becky), Jessica Ledet (Chip), and Jacob Loupe (Neili); his brother Peter Loupe (Betty); and his beloved grandchildren, Caleb Loupe (Sadie, Austin Loupe, Cayden Ledet, Cohen Ledet and Mollie Loupe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurelian and Jeanne Loupe; his brothers, Robin Loupe, Carl "Mickey" Loupe, and Andrew Loupe; and his beloved grandson, Cullen Loupe.
He found great joy in the simple blessings of life. He loved spending time on the water, especially crabbing, where he found peace and contentment in God's creation. More than anything, he treasured his family. His greatest joy was being "Papa" to his grandchildren, whose lives were forever enriched by his love, wisdom, laughter and gentle presence. The memories they created together will be cherished forever. He retired as a planner at Dow Chemical where he was well respected for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to excellence.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Bayou Blue Assembly of God on Prospect from 9:30 am until service at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Holy Savior Mausoleum.
Stuart was a man of deep and unwavering faith which was evident in the way he loved his family, served others, and found joy in God's blessings each day.
