Stephen Craig Brown, D.D.S.

Dr. Stephen C. Brown “Doc”, 74, a native of Lockport, La. and resident of Raceland, La. passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 11, 2026 at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with burial in the church cemetery.

“Doc” is survived by his wife of 52 years Charmaine Gaudet Brown, children; Aimee (Lenny) Rodrigue, Craig (Brianne) Brown, and Chris Brown (the late Jennifer “Jenni” Brown), grandchildren; Logan (Caelan), Lanna, Avery, Tatum, Cobie, Wyatt, and Harper, great-grandchild; Georgia Gene, brother; Paul Brown, and sister; Mary Elizabeth “Girlie” Gaskin (Tom). Sister In laws Patricia and Peggy Brown and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Dr J.W. Brown Jr. and Annette Spence Brown, brothers; Dr. J.W. “Bill” Brown III, Dr. James “Corky” Brown, Robert Brown, and Harry Brown.

“Doc” graduated from Holy Savior Catholic High School and later graduated from LSU Dental School and started his private practice in 1983, Stephen Brown Family Dentistry.
Stevie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He loved unconditionally and treasured his family above all. He practiced dentistry in his Lockport office for over 43 years and valued all the relationships he built. He will be missed dearly, but we know we will be reunited with him one day.
