Shirley Atkins Allen, 71, a native of Coushatta and resident of Houma, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011.
A private service will be held at a later date.
She is survived by three sons, Roger Atkins and wife, Hillary, Cullen Entrican, and Steven Atkins and companion, Penny; daughter, Deborah Savoie and husband, Murphy; four stepchildren, J.T., Jeff, Larry and Renata; four brothers, Cullen Jr., Bobby, Henry, and Jimmie Martin; two sisters, Elaine Nichols and Louise Bourg; and 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Atkins; second husband, Calvin Allen; parents, Cullen and O.C. Hester Martin; son, Kyle Atkins; grandson, Stevie Atkins; and sister, Lavada Pinkerton.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
