Sandy Doucet Chouest

Sandy Ann Doucet Chouest, 74, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026. She was a native and resident of Galliano, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at First Baptist Church of Golden Meadow on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jeffery Louis Chouest; son, Bo Louis Chouest and wife, Kristy; daughter, Allison E. Chouest; brother, Mike Doucet and wife, Tina; sister, Darlene Stepp and husband, James; sister-in-law, Connie; grandchildren, Austin Chavez, Kaelyn Chouest, and Lane Chouest; and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Mike Joseph Doucet and Earline Marie St. Pierre Doucet; and brother, Ray Ellerbe.

Sandy was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She never met a stranger. Sandy was her husband’s queen since the age of 12. She took pride in keeping a spotless home and could often be found with a vacuum in hand. She will be greatly missed.
