Ruth, above all else, treasured her family, whom she loved deeply and was unconditionally dedicated to her husband of 67 years. She found joy in the simple things in life and often described herself as a “homebody.” Ruth loved sewing, cooking, and telling jokes. Much of her life was spent in the kitchen, both at home and at the restaurant she and her husband proudly opened in 1964, where together they served the bayou community for many years. She will forever be remembered as a loving, selfless mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and role model.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, August 20th, 2025 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose from 9:00 am until service time. Mrs. Ruth’s Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with burial following in the Church Cemetery.
