Ruth Robichaux Detiveaux

Ruth R. Detiveaux, 91, a native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Raceland, LA.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise Detiveaux; son, Edward “Eddie” Detiveaux, Jr. (April); grandchildren, Levy Detiveaux (Sylvia) and Amos Detiveaux (Paige); great grandchildren, Emely, Alyana, Skylar and Lizzy; sisters, Joyce Triche, Leafy Adams and Joan Comardelle. Also survived by many godchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Detiveaux, Sr.; parents, Joseph “Jack” Robichaux and Louise “Too Too” Foret Robichaux.

Ruth enjoyed bingo, playing cards, cooking beignets for everyone and doing volunteer work. She loved gathering with family and friends and will be greatly missed.
