Rufus Naquin

Rufus Paul Naquin, 90, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 1:50 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by one daughter, Janie Naquin Folse and husband, Ray "Fuzz" Folse; three grandchildren, Stephen Folse and wife, Tonya, Scott Folse and wife, Jurie, and Stuart Folse and wife, Becky; and eight great-grandchildren, Savannah, Samantha, Parker, Emmie, Aiden, Braxton, Adele, and Elise Folse.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Euna Autin Naquin; and his parents, Ernest and Olympe Autin Naquin.

He was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church, a member of Past LA Lions District Governor 8 S for 50 plus years, LA Lions Council, Raceland Lions Club President in 1950, Past Zone Chairman, past Deputy District Governor, past International Councelor, a member of Selective Service Draft Board System, LA Oil Marketers Association and the Lafourche National Bank Advisory Board.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the LA District 8 S Lions Club, Little Britches (Cripple Children's Camp), LA Eye Foundation or Raceland Lions Club.
