Ruby Ponson Dufrene, 96, a native and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Hilary Cemetery.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Christie Dufrene and Drake Dufrene; great grandchildren, Shea Toups, Tre Toups and Draven Dufrene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Dufrene; son, Gary Dufrene (Joetta); great grandson, Remy Dufrene; parents, Isley and Louise Ponson; and brothers, Leroy Ponson and Lloyd Ponson.
Ruby enjoyed feeding everybody and will be greatly missed.
