Roy B. Cornwell, 85, a native of Bessemer, AL and a resident of Des Allemands, LA, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Des Allemands, LA.
Roy is survived by his son Doyle Cornwell (Leah Matherne); daughter, Deena Chadwick (Greg Hatfield); sister, Cora Bell Cortez; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elnora “Nunnie” Candies Cornwell; parents, Grover and Bessie Cornwell; brothers, John Cornwell, Charles Cornwell Sr. and Grover Cornwell Jr. and sisters, Bertha Coshatt, Marguerite Stephens and Sarah Roberts.
Roy enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
