Roy R. “Bobby” Angelette, Jr., 77, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Larose, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Collins Angelette; son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Tracy Angelette; daughter and son-in-law, Mignon and Steve Gill; daughter, Domonique Angelette, and her companion, Al Dufour; grandchildren, Natalie Caldwell and her husband, Matthew, Nicholas Angelette, Mark Angelette, Alexandra Gill, Stephen Gill, Layla Pitre, Ava Pitre, and Allen Dufour; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Denise Angelette, and Keith and Donna Angelette; sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and Price Redmond; and brother-in-law, Kurt Eschette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy R. Angelette, Sr. and Rose Savoie Angelette, and his sister, Patsy Angelette Eschette.
Bobby was a graduate of Nicholls State University and co-owner of A. Angelette & Sons construction company, where he worked alongside his family before joining Farm Bureau, serving as an agent for 36 years. He was a member and past president of the Lafourche Cattlemen’s Association and a member of the VFW.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he proudly served as a Military Policeman, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was loved by everyone he met and was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He treasured the many years he and Barbara had together, and above all, he cherished the quiet moments shared with her, the love of his life.
