Ronald "Costette" Bruce

Ronald “Costette” J. Bruce, 85, a native and resident of Galliano passed away on Tuesday. July 16, 2024.

 Mr. Ronald is survived by his children: Cindy Walker (Pat), Dena Gravois (David), Jad Bruce (Serena); grandchildren: James Walker Jr. (Jen), and Carlie Thibodaux (Chaz); great grandchildren: Jackson, Kathryn, Brooklyn, Cohen, and Brady; and brother: Michael Bruce.

 Mr. Bruce was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years: Emelda “Mel” L. Bruce; daughter: Cathy Bruce; parents: Leon “Tous” and Gernice D. Bruce; and brother: Gary Bruce.

 Costette’s family would like to thank Nellie Hunter and caregivers for their care and compassion. 

 Mr. Ronald loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was a longtime member of Greenhead Club, a member of the Knights of Columbus, a true Louisiana Outdoorsman, and enjoyed fishing, shrimping, and hunting. He was a lifelong commercial shrimper.

 Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano on Monday, July 22nd, 2024 from 9:00 am until service time. Mr. Ronald’s Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with burial following at Cheramie Cemetery.
