Robert P. Plaisance

Robert Peter Plaisance, 59, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on June 9, 2025.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at St. Mary’s Nativity Community Center, Raceland, LA, starting at 9:00 am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Robert is survived by his sister, Betty Plaisance Foret; nephews, Steven Foret and wife, Tracy and Blaine Foret; great nephews, Mason and Ashton Foret.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nessie Plaisance and Alice Mae Tastet Plaisance and his brother-in-law, John G. Foret.

He loved to hunt and fish and loved to go crabbing. His joy was to boil seafood for his family. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always willing to help people.

He was a loving son, brother, uncle and Godfather, who will be truly missed.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors at the Thibodaux Regional Hospital and at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, the Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center, Ochsner Home Health Care and St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care and compassion during this difficult time.
