Robert Anthony McMillan, 79, a resident of Des Allemands, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Visitation will be held at Bible Center Church, 422 Barton Ave., in Luling, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 am until service time. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will be held at a later date.

Robert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Tanya Moser McMillan; children, R. Michael McMillan (Regina), Jennifer M. Cavallero (Andrew), Daniel M. McMillan (Randi Lyn); 10 grandchildren, Annemarie, Katherine, Abby, Ellie, Layla, Loie, Matthew, Laura, Leah, Mark; siblings, Margaret Hemphill (Rev. Bruce), Rosalie Ward (Rev. Mark), David McMillan (Nancy), Barbara Werner (Jim).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Robert Wilson McMillan and Nadzieja Kuszner McMillan.

He was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving as a member of the US Navy’s Harbor and River Patrol in Qui Nhon and stationed on the USS Virgo, AE-30. After leaving the service, he supported his family as a committed and dedicated commercial diver for over thirty years, served on the Search and Rescue Team, was a member of VFW Post 3750, and was involved member of the Regional Military Museum in Houma.
