Robert "Penook" Matherne, 66 a native and resident of Des Allemands, LA, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, November 7, 2014 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Des Allemands, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday at St. Gertrude Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Ross Daniel Matherne; daughter, Jenny Matherne Lacoste and sister, Berdine "Dee" Cortez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurillian and Drisscilla Danos Matherne; brother, Raymond Matherne and sisters, Thelma Matherne and Eugenia Usey.
