Robert "Bobby" DeJean

Robert “Bobby” James Dejean, a native and resident of Des Allemands, LA passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be from 10:00 – 12:00 on Monday, April 27, 2026 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Paradis, La. A mass of Christian Buriel will be celebrated at 12pm with burial to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Des Allemands, LA.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Pizzolato DeJean; daughter Kourtne Donnaud and son-in-law/best friend Kris Donnaud; grandchildren Koen, Brooke, and Brodie Donnaud. Brothers Greg DeJean (Merce), Richard DeJean (Lisa), and Mark (Pam); and sister Lorraine Faucheux. Also multiple nieces and nephews that he loved like his own.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Percy DeJean Sr. and Dorothy Parr DeJean, and bother Percy (Toot) DeJean Jr.

You could always find Bobby at one of his favorite places, either his Crab Factory or his Hunting Camp, both were a reflection of how hard he worked and the life he built for those he loved. He loved to hunt, jug-line fish, and have a downright good ole time. The friendships and memories he built through the years are countless.

He never hesitated to tell you exactly what he was thinking, which was one of the things that will leave a lasting impression for generations to come.

He was a loyal friend, a devoted brother, a loving father, father-in-law, and grandfather, and a deeply loving husband. He carried each of these roles with such pride.

He will be deeply missed by many, but the love, memories, and legacy he leaves behind will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him.
