Richard A. Tastet

Richard A. Tastet, 76, a resident of Lockport, LA, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Falgout Funeral Home, in Lockport, LA, from 9:30 am until service time. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon with a private burial to be held at a later date.

Richard is survived by his companion, Mary Culpepper; children, Rachel Bagley (Steve), Bryan Tastet (June), Travis Tastet (Tracie); grandchildren, Brittany, Steve Jr., Damian, Megan, Chevy, Zane, Evan, Travis Jr., Destiney; great-grandchildren, Malachi, Zoé, Ralieana, Titus, Kynlee, Kreed, Krew, Sawyer; brothers, Daniel and Francis Tastet; sisters, Annette Loupe and Tina Tastet.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Chatagnier Tastet; parents; Louis and Ann Mae Thibodeaux Tastet; son, Shawn Tastet and brother, Anthony Tastet.

The family would like to thank Mary Culpepper for her care and compassion especially the last several months.
