Ricardo Joseph Labat

Ricardo “Rickey” Labat, 87, a native and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marion Labat; children, Jan Labat (Donna), Tina Rivet (Eddie), Danny Labat (Natalie) and Angela Sampey (Matt); grandchildren, Laura Luke (Brooks), Brian Vedros (Meagan), Marc Rivet, Celeste DeGeorge (Christopher), Michael Labat (Emily), Erin Folse (Randy), Kevin Labat (Tiffany), Madeline Sessions (Jason), Molly Barbier (Matthew), Max Sampey and 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley and Essie Labat and brother, Tony Labat.

Rickey was the owner of Rickeys Appliances, a past member of the Raceland Volunteer Fire Department, Raceland Lion’s Club, Jaycees and Grand Marshall Club.
