Patti “Granny” Hotard Boudreaux, 72, native of Larose and resident of Raceland, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026.
Mrs. Patti is survived by her children, Daina (Corey) Dempster and Lionel (Hidie) Dominique, Jr.; her grandchildren, Kelsey, Kayla, Ty, Ann, and Ava; her great-grandchildren, Rosemary, Naomi, and Thomas; her brother, Michael Hotard; her sisters, Marianne Hebert, Lana Boudreaux, Gail Hotard, and Christine Hotard; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Granny was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Mr. Henry J. Boudreaux; her parents, Magnus David Hotard and Selma Rodrigue Bonvillain; and her brothers, David “Butch” Hotard, Jimmy Hotard, Dale Hotard, David Hotard, and Jerry Hotard.
Granny never met a stranger; she was a friend to all. One of her favorite things to do was be with her grandchildren and great grandchildren - which extends far beyond just her biological ones. Besides this, she was happiest crocheting, playing cards, baking, and hanging out with her friends. We'll continue to remember her for the lasting impact she's left on so many people, and all of the passion she had for the things and people she loved.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Mrs. Patti on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until the service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at the church cemetery.
