Nathan “Nate” Christopher Wood of Golden Meadow began his story on April 10th, 1981 and completed his final chapter on August 31st, 2026.
Visitation will be Friday September 11th, 2026 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor catholic church from 9:30 am until service time. A funeral service will be held at 11am and a celebration of life to follow at La Salette.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents; Randal and Karen Anselmi, children; Chance Orgeron, Laine and Kaily Wood, sister; Celeste Anselmi Duet, brother-in-law; Buck Duet Jr., niece and godchild; Gracie Barrios, nephew; Kayden Duet, soul sister; Eugenie “Tootsie” Serigny, and his best buddy; Maclynn “Macki” Stark. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many others he impacted along the way, including, but not limited to, the community he found and friends he made in Selmer, Tennessee.
Reunited with his grandparents; Albert and Marie Mobley, Irvin “Uncle Joe” and Nolia Anselmi, and Johnny Wood, uncle and mentor; Edwin “Peanock” Mobley, close cousins; Howard “Gilligan” Naquin the 3rd and Derek Dardar, close friends; Bobby “BJ” Cantrelle Jr., Troy “Griff” Griffin Sr., and Kerry Fahrenholtz.
Nate never judged a soul. He enjoyed a good drink, music, motorcycles and ATVs. He embraced his 2nd Amendment, knew aliens are real, and had a theory for every conspiracy. He enjoyed making people smile and paying kindness forward. He always had a frisbee or football to throw with any kids, and if you ever received a random rose from a curly haired guy, it was probably him. He valued all the people in his life, but more than anything, his children were his pride and joy.
