Nathan Burke Aucoin, Sr.

Nathan Burke Aucoin, age 85, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 4:30 a.m. He was a native of Chataignier and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday October 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma with burial following in St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery.

Nathan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Frances Orgeron Aucoin; son, Nathan B. Aucoin, Jr.; daughters, Betina A. Duarte and husband, Franklin, and Rhonda A. Aucoin and companion, Lisa Peranio; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. 

Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, Athanas and Zula Ardoin Aucoin; brother, Dewey Aucoin and wife, Marguarite; sisters, Lucy A. Guillot and husband, George, and Dorothy A. Bellard.

Nathan was a member of the St. Bernadette Knights of Columbus, and St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was a veteran of the US Air Force from 1953 – 1959, stationed in Spain, Roswell, New Mexico, and Cheyenne, Wyoming.
