Michael J. Sampey, Sr., 69, a native of Raceland, LA and a resident of Lockport, LA, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, June 20, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his companion, Charlotte Mercier; sons, Michael Sampey, Jr. and wife Jennifer, Rodney Sampey and wife Tammy, Scott Sampey and wife Desiree', Todd Sampey and wife Cindy, Mason Sampey; daughter, Maddie Sampey; grandchildren Joshua, Jordan, Brittney, Jacob, Hayden, Levi, Nick, Dylan, Jade; step grandchildren, Samantha, Corey, Sage; great grandchildren, Aubrey and Emilee; brother, Norris "Fredrick" Sampey, and sisters, Delta Monier, Yvonne Mims.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris Sampey, Sr. and Maude Blanchard Sampey and brother, Howard Joseph "C-Poos" Sampey.
Michael was an avid golfer at LeTour.
