He is survived by his wife, Sylvia St. Pierre Crochet; son, Melvin “T-Mel” A. Crochet, Jr. (Rebecca); daughter, Rhonda C. St. Amant (Micah); brothers, Roy “T-Roy” Crochet (Diane), Richard Crochet, Peter Crochet (Carla); sister, Paula Crochet; 5 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica C. Hollis; parents, Roy P. Crochet and Julie Zellar Crochet; brother, Edgar Paul Crochet; sisters, Rose Lee and Annette Mullins and sister-in-law, Cindy Crochet..

Melvin enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
