Matthew W. "Pork Chop" Verdin, Sr., 60, a native and resident of Houma, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Falgout Funeral Home, 211 Westside Blvd, Houma, LA and from 8:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Dulac, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Rogers Verdin; son, Matthew Verdin Jr. and companion Nicole Foret; daughters, Heidi Verdin and Kelsey Verdin; grandchildren, Seth and Kaden Verdin; brothers, Paul Edward Verdin, Jessie Verdin, Michael Verdin, Richard Verdin; sisters, Rita Irma Billiot and Juanita Agnes Gonzales.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Marie Libby Foret Verdin; brothers, John, Linwood, Wilson, Wilbert, Jeffery, Earnest Verdin and sister, Theresa Billiot.
