Marylee Ledet Vedros, 90, a native and resident of Lockport, La. passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29,2025 at Holy Savior Catholic Church “Little Church” from 9:00 AM until service time. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Marylee is survived by her children Cathy Gros (Keith), Connie Plaisance (Greg), Donna Eschete (Roy), Danny Vedros (Betsy), And Darren Vedros (Christine). Her grandchildren, Keith Gros Jr (Lynette), Mary Carter (Matthew), Bryan Gros (Tammy), Angie Babin (Damien), Jennifer Davis (Roger), Sarah Plaisance, Shelly Dufrene (Jimmy), Becky Eschete, Shane Eschete (Jade), Erica Ordoyne (Gerard), Mallory Vedros, Danae Porche (Dexter), Fallon Vedros, Lauren Bates (Joe) and Chelsea Ladner (Conner). Brother, Dudley Ledet (Pearl); Sister, Sandra Stevens; Sister-in-law Dolores Ledet. She also loved and cherished 27 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Marylee was preceded in death by her husband, Chester J Vedros; parents, Lee and Mabel Leblanc Ledet; brother, Eddie Ledet; sister, Dorothy Colby; brother-in-law, Ernest Colby, brother-in-law Mike Stevens; and great-grandson, Braden Dufrene.
Marylee was employed by Holy Savior School and Church for over 50 years. She was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church; a member of the Ladies Alter Society and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed volunteering in her community. Marylee loved to travel, going out to eat with her friends and family, playing Po-Keno and cards. Marylee was always there to support her grandkids and great grandkids no matter if it was a sports game and or a dance recital. Her favorite way to spend her time was being around her family and friends.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Chabert Intensive Care Unit staff for the excellent care and compassion given to her during her time there.
