Mary Jane Matherne Schouest, 67, a resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1015 Veterans St., Lockport, LA. A Memorial Service will at 10:00 AM.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harry A. Schouest; son, Cory Schouest and wife Eva; daughters, Lori Brupbacher and husband Kevin, Jill Hodge and husband John; grandchildren, Kacie B. Patterson, Beth B. Bouvier, Levi Brupbacher, Breanna Schouest; brother, Dale Matherne and sisters, Sarah Verret and Janet Folse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest "Old Boy" Matherne and Clara L. Matherne.
Mary Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a hard worker, kind and considerate and selfless. She lived to make others happy. She never met a stranger and always greeted you with a smile and hug. She was a "granny" and "aunt me" to us all.
