Mary Galliano Gisclair

Mary Galliano Gisclair, 83, a native and resident of Galliano passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025.

Mrs. Mary is survived by her children: Risa G. Blanchard (Eddie), Jada G. Martinez, and Russell “Rusty” Gisclair, Jr. (Melissa); grandchildren: Amber Martinez (Randy), Micah Martinez (Hoai), Janie Mims (Blaize), Jack Blanchard (Madison), Connor Gisclair (Khyra); great grandchildren: Wyatt, Avyn, Amelia, Owyn, Eden, Wrenly; siblings: Loretta G. Ledet (Ronald), Horace Galliano (Kathy), Anesia “Nesie” Doucet; and sisters in law: Cynthia B. Galliano, Gloria G. Cheramie, Paulette Hunter and Eula Mae Gisclair.

Mrs. Gisclair was preceded in death by her parents: Moise and Onise Lathrop Galliano; brothers: Moise Galliano Jr., Norris Galliano Sr.; brothers in law: Patrick Doucet, Clarence Gisclair, Huey L. Cheramie, Herman Felarise; sisters in law: Julie Galliano, Odelia Felarise; and father of her children: Russell A. Gisclair, Sr.

Mrs. Mary was a homemaker that loved to garden and bake for her family and friends; she loved to shower them with love and affection. Most of all she loved sharing the Word of God (Bible). To all who crossed her path, she left you with the words “I love you”.

Mrs. Mary would like to thank the staff of Hope Health Care and Hospice for their care and compassion.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Christian Family Center in Galliano on Friday, October 24th, 2025 from 10:00 am until service time. A Celebration of Mrs. Mary’s life will begin at 12 noon with procession following to her burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
