Mary Foret Dufrene, 81, a native and resident of Raceland passed away on Monday 23rd, 2022.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28th, at St. Mary’s Community Center on from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with her burial following in the Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Mary is survived by her children: Patrice Arcement (Danny), Calbert Dufrene, Jr. (JoAnna), and Audie Dufrene (Everly); grandchildren: Joshua, Wesley, and Dustin Arcement, Bryan Barclay, Kylie and Kolby Dufrene, Kristi Dillion, and Ashleé DeShazer; great grandchildren: Sadie Broussard, Taylor, Layla, London, Audrey, and Elizabeth Arcement, Kaleb and Anthony Dillion, and Oliver DeShazer, and brothers: Michael P. Foret Sr. and Charles O. Foret Sr.
Mrs. Dufrene was preceded in death by husband: Calbert “Shamrock” J. Dufrene, Sr.; parents: Joseph Foret Sr. and Georgiania B. Foret; and brother: Joseph R. Foret Jr.
Mrs. Mary enjoyed working in her flowers, gardening, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.
