Marietta St. Amant Babineaux

Marietta “Mouse” St. Amant Babineaux, entered her eternal rest on November 29, 2025 at the age of 90. A native and lifelong resident of Des Allemands, LA, Mouse was born on March 26, 1935.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Tregle and Norman St. Amant, her husband, Frederick Philip Babineaux, Sr, and her son, Frederick Philip Babineaux, Jr.

Mouse was survived by four children, Trudy Tastet (late Donald), Wayne Babineaux (Kimberly), Gail Babineaux, Sr, (Lorrie) and Shannon Brooks (Timothy), 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Her family was her life, and after raising her five children, her greatest joy was spending time with them, their children and grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was going to the bowling alley with her sons. And she never missed a crawfish boil or a barbeque. She was loved by all who met her and will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at First Assembly of God, 16976 Highway 90, Des Allemands, LA 70030, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with funeral service at 11:00 AM. Per her request, family and friends are invited to wear colors/pastels. Interment in St. Gertrude Mausoleum in Des Allemands following service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Luling Living Center, 1125 Paul Maillard Rd, Luling, LA 70070.
