Maria DeLarosa DeLeon, 94, a native of Raymondville, TX and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 7th from 9:30 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Maria is survived by her sons, Frank Jr. (Carmen), Hector (Melanie) and Bobby (Amy); daughters, Mary Barrera (Juventino), Olga Gautreaux (Allen), Velma Guillot (Bruce), Cynthia Bourgeois (Dana); 48 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Corina Cruz and son-in-law, Terry Vega.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank DeLeon Sr.; parents, Gilberto and Ysabel DeLarosa; daughter, Nora DeLeon Vega; son, Gilbert DeLeon; great-grandchildren, Brenden DeLeon and Breanna “Bre” Bourgeois; great-great-granddaughter, Aubrey Rose DeLeon.
Maria enjoyed going to the casino, dancing, bingo and being with her family. She will be deeply missed by her family and forever loved.
In lieu of flowers, Mass donations are preferred.
The family would like to thank Notre Dame Hospice for the loving care of their mother.
