Lovancie J. Thibodaux, 94, a native and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his daughters, Rose Breaux (J.P.), Rita St. Pierre (Danny); 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Melazie Guidry Thibodaux; parents, Alcest and Melodia Fonseca Thibodaux; brothers, Pierre and Alidore Thibodaux; sisters, Lovancia Dufrene and Florence Pitre.
Lovancie was a U.S. Army Veteran, member of VFW, Woodmen of the World and he was a parishioner of St. Mary Church.
