Leslie "Lisa" McGowan

Leslie McGowan, better known as Lisa, 55, a resident of Larose, LA, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

She is survived by her daughter, Raina A. McGowan; son, Drake L. McGowan; grandson, Zahari McGowan; mother, Emma Jean Griffin McGowan; siblings, Michelle McGowan, Michael (Claire) McGowan and Erica McGowan; Godchildren, Kia Neville, Averie Griffin and kids, Terrineka Griffin, and all those whose names may not appear but whose lives were touched by Lisa and her love.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence McGowan.

Lisa was known for being the life of the party. She had a God-given gift for making others laugh. Her joy was contagious, and her greatest happiness came from spending time with family and friends. She especially loved being a grandmother. Her pride and joy was her grandchild Zahari Micah McGowan. She will be truly missed by all who had the joy of knowing her.
