Lawrence “Larry” Thibodeaux

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lawrence “Larry” Harold Thibodeaux,

beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who left us on May 20,

2026, at the age of 91. Born on February 16, 1935, in New Orleans, LA, Larry graduated from

Thibodaux High School, with a two-year associates degree from Nicholls University in

Thibodaux, LA, and a degree in Industrial Arts Education from LSU in Baton Rouge, LA.

Larry traveled the world as Vice President of an international catering company. After many

years working all over the world, he came back home to Louisiana and started an offshore food

catering service until he retired. Anyone who knew him will acknowledge his excellent

cooking skills. He loved nothing more than cooking for four or a hundred and four. He will be

missed by many.

Larry has been a man devoted to his family and is survived by his daughter Laurie Adams,

granddaughter Courtney Golloher, two great granddaughters, Asiya Rashed and Evangeline

Rashed, three great grandsons, Sajjad Rashed, Killian Rashed, Declan Golloher, brother David

E. Thibodeaux (Stella), nieces Robbin Moss (Stuart), Angela Allen, Michele Scott (Chris),

Elizabeth Pitre (Brant), Kellie Crippen (Michael), Lauren Ledet (Anthony), nephews David L.

Thibodeaux (Toni), James Thibodeaux (Brandi).

Larry is preceded in death by his parents Virginia and Lawrence Thibodeaux, and nephew Ben

Allen (Angela).

Larry is a charter and life-long member of Christ Baptist Church at 1700 East Tunnel Blvd. in

Houma, LA and services will be held there on Saturday May 30, 2026.
