Lawrence David Gros

Lawrence David Gros, 70, a native of Purvis, Mississippi and resident of Mathews passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at St. Hilary of Poiters in Matthews on Saturday May 2, 2026 at 9:00AM to 11:00AM. A Mass of Christian burial will begin 11:00AM. Burial with follow in St. Hilary cemetery after the service.

Lawrence is survived by wife, Cindy Hebert Gros; daughters: Heather Gros and Christina Gros; brothers: Emile Gros Jr (Brenda), Dalton Gros (Kathy); sister, Mary Elizabeth Plaisance; brother-in-law: Rodney P. Hebert (Bessie); sister-in-law: Linda Hebert; numerous cousins; numerous beloved nieces and nephews; and numerous beloved great nieces and nephews.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents: Emile J. Gros, Sr and Martha Earline Davis Gros; paternal grandparents: Lawrence Gros and Leah Bergeron Gros; maternal grandparents: Albert and Gracie Anderson Davis; sisters-in-laws: Nitsy H. Costanza, Frances M. Hebert, Diania Hebert, and Peggy R. Hebert; brothers-in-law: Nervin J. Hebert, Jr. and Gus Costanza; and nephew: Michael C. Hebert.

Special thanks to the nurses and chaplain at St. Joseph Hospice and the numerous nurses and doctors at North Thibodaux Fresenius Dialysis Clinic of their care and compassion.
