Laurela K. Plaisance, 97 a native of Lockport and resident of Raceland died on Saturday November 17, 2012.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 11:00 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her caretaker, Virginia Plaisance; sister, Ruby K. Gautreaux; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ulysses Bourgeois and her second husband, Antoine J. Plaisance; parents, Allen and Earnestine Knight; brothers, Harris Knight, Eunice Knight, Bennie Knight, Andrew Knight, Euclid Knight; sister, Cesla K. Thibodaux.
She enjoyed sewing and reading.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
