Larry Ulysse Dufrene

Larry Ulysse Dufrene, age 75, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022. He was a native of Galliano and a resident of Cut Off, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to a visitation at Community Bible Church on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Larry was survived by his son, Todd Dufrene and wife, Melody; daughter, Tara D. Ougel and husband, Bart; former wife, Joyce Dantin Dufrene; brother, Avery Dufrene and wife, Linda; sister, Mary Ella Callais and husband, Herman; grandchildren, Blaire, Brennen, Tori, Tim, Austin, Trent, Blake, Blaine, and Brock; great-grandchildren, Caroline, Barrett, Cooper, and Scotlynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, O.B. and Verna Doucet Dufrene; sisters, Mary Ann Liner and husband, Vincent, and Arlene Plaisance and husband, Larry.

Larry served in the US Army during Vietnam Conflict. He retired from Exxon. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, VFW, and American Legion. Larry enjoyed riding and rebuilding motorcycles and hotrods, deer hunting, and spending time with family and friends; His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He will be dearly missed by all whose hearts he touched.
