Kevin lived a life filled with laughter, music, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Kevin was the beloved son of Samuel T. and Sarah DiMattia Magliolo. He was the cherished older brother to Bridget Magliolo and Adrienne Walker (Charles), Uncle KK to Sarah, Emma, Elijah, Jeremiah, Isabella, and Isaiah who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and humor. His Uncle Joe Magliolo and his children, along with his father-in-law Lonnie Dufrene, brother-in-law Devin Dufrene, and Devin’s son Ryder, were also significant parts of his life, as were his wife’s grandparents, Werlin “Butch” and Judy Chiasson.
In December of 2023, Kevin married the love of his life Ashley Dufrene Magliolo. Their bond, although tragically cut short, was one of deep love and mutual respect. Ashley was his confidante, friend, partner, and the light of his life. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and warmth. For over 30 years, Kevin dedicated himself to his craft, running sound, playing drums, and lending his voice through song. Music was not just a profession for Kevin; it was a calling that he answered with enthusiasm and a generous heart. His colleagues and audiences alike will remember him as funny, kind-hearted man who brought joy and rhythm into their lives with every note.
Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Johnny and Juanita Magliolo, his maternal grandparents Guy and Lena DiMattia, his Uncle Sal DiMattia, and his mother-n-law Jesica Dufrene.
Their memories were a source of inspiration and strength for Kevin throughout his life. To honor Kevin’s life a celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Magliolo and Dufrene families express deep gratitude to the compassionate staff at Ochsner Kenner for their care and support during Kevin’s final days. Their kindness provided comfort and peace to Kevin and his loved ones in a time of need. Kevin Magliolo’s legacy is one of laughter, love, and the undeniable power of music to bring people together.
