Keith J. Matherne

Keith J. Matherne, 72, a native and resident of Raceland, La. passed away on Sunday, August, 16, 2026.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, La. from 9:00am until service time. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00pm with burial at Holy Savior Cemetery.

Keith is survived by his children; Stacy Gaudet (Jody), Karla Matherne (Ron), and David Matherne (Crystal), grandchildren; Tamika Perrillioux (Dustin), Devin Babin, Alexis Gaudet (Holden), Kyle Babin, Kiera Matherne, Dakoda Dupre, Dayton Matherne, and Brexten Guidroz, great-grandchildren; Dustin (D.J.) Perrillioux, Rae’ Lynn Perrillioux, Kingston Bonvillian, Karter Francis, sister; Deanna Matherne, along with nieces, nephews, family and friends that felt like family.

Keith was preceded in death by his wife; Bernadette Porche’ Matherne, parents; Barrios and Anna Breaux Matherne, brothers; Claude, Sr., Raymond, Kenneth and Glenn Matherne, sister; Evelyn Minchew.

Keith had a heart of gold; he never met a stranger and never turned anyone away. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unconditional. Sports were a close second to his family
