Katie Danos Pierce

Katie Danos Pierce, 75, a native and resident of Cut Off, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Katie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Alvin Pierce Jr.; son, Jason Rogers (Tona Savoie); grandchildren, Christopher Rogers, Madison Rogers, Jacob Rogers; greatgrandchildren, Peyton Jeanette and Easton Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Randolph and Edith Trosclair Danos and brother, Randy Danos.

Katie had a special fondness for bright colors and butterflies; seeing beauty in life's simplest moments. She treasured the friendships she shared with her friends and neighbors; Tammy and Kathy, who were her extended family. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in every rainbow that graces the sky.

Per her request, private graveside services will be held.
